Animus

Animus is my first 3D string art. It opened my mind into creating my special method of stringing (3-dimensional threads and animated visual).

This special method animates the shapes thanks to the movement of UV reactive thread placed mathematically in 3D.

In spring 2017, I decided to transfer the two-dimensional string to a 3D design and that’s when I started imagining Animus. It took nearly 4 months to finalize it because at that time, I had no experience or any precise idea of what I had to do, how I was supposed to do it and how it will actually look in the end!

Animus’ original dimensions are 60cm * 30cm. It is made of 10 wooden pieces, 336 holds (all of which are used) and 52m of threads.
